When the Boat Comes In - Mixed Media Step by Step Circle Art Journal Page

For September’s circle art journal page my inspiration is a song from my childhood that evokes memories of early evenings curled up on the sofa with Mum & Dad watching the TV. The song is a traditional style folk song written in 1826 by William Watson and was originally entitled “Dance to thy Daddy”, but is more commonly known as “When the Boat Comes In”. The song was used as the theme title for a TV show in the 1970s which used the more common name as the show’s title.

This art journal page has a minimalistic layout which uses a lot of white space which, for some, is quite a difficult layout style.
